Where I’ve been

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University and a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. I’ve had a passion for design long before I knew what it was. I’ve always been fascinated with different ideas or experiences and seeing the impact that they can have. It’s led me through a multifaceted background in various artistic mediums, such as photography, videography, and graphic design. This passion has led me to where I am today, pursuing UX/UI design where I design intuitive and engaging digital experiences in the form of custom responsive websites and web/mobile apps.

What I care about

I enjoy creating things that are not only aesthetic and pleasurable but also functional and empower people to make the world better. I believe technology has a unique ability to do this. It can surprise, delight, entertain, convey meaning, and allow people to make a powerful impact on the world for the better. I am a self-directed learner by nature. I often enjoy spending time outside of work trying to learn or practice bettering my skillsets.

How I recharge

Outside of work, I like to spend time traveling, backpacking, and hiking as much as possible. They’ve given me a chance to discover new experiences and broaden my perspective by spending quality time with the people I’m with, getting back to basics, and taking a break from the speed of life. On a more day-to-day basis, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and everything to do with film and cinema.
